The Immunity Challenge wound up happening just the way I had hoped it WOULDN'T. Yes, I had Shawn second last on my hit list, but that was to try and have him think that I didn't suspect he was up to something, not to hand him Immunity. Of course, this is ignoring the fact that I was told I was socially inept, under the false pretense that people like me, and most likely to hold grudges. Now, I might hold the occasional grudge every now and then if the person treats me like crap to such a degree that it's impossible to just get over things quickly. Sure, it happens, but it's not like I go around and hate everybody who does something dishonest or dirty. This is a game where things happen and sometimes nice guys have to do not so nice things. As for thinking people like me when they don't? Well, I know that outside the game those that know me usually tend to like me and enjoy my company.
Inside the game, well, I can sometimes lose my mind a little bit, and some people play like scumbags and just assume that everyone else, me included, played like that. Am I saying that anyone in this game is playing like a total scumbag and assuming that about me? No, I'm just simply saying that it can happen, and that this is a game, so I'm not about to go and make a big deal about that aspect of the Immunity Challenge.
Now, at the last Tribal Council, Sugar self voted and was eliminated, but the host let slip that she didn't have the majority of the votes. That naturally made me really worried since Shawn and Coach both told me everyone was voting Sugar. My natural instinct was to think that they were trying to get me out, but Shawn told me that he, Coach, Jaime, and at least one of the Takeos (possibly both) had voted for Kelly and that he didn't tell me because he thought I'd tell her (which I might have, might not have at that time, I have to admit since I thought she was being a bit suspicious that round). This info makes me question just how good my bond with Matty and Erin is if they're going to be swayed by things from Shawn and Coach, who probably have something that is being overlooked since they might well have a Hidden Immunity Idol EACH.
What is kind of irritating is that this round would have been the perfect time to do something about Shawn since he always seems to be involved in all of the apparent potential game controlling alliances and he's been acting suspicious a bit. He wouldn't have seen it coming, he wouldn't have played an Idol if he has one like I suspect, and I would've had a Final 4 set in place where I'm a top dog and where I could possibly be the one in control of the "in crowd". You know, as opposed to that fifth guy in a group of people who's sort of "just there". I'm thinking saving Kelly might be in my best interest, at least for now, but the question is whether it would be best to see if she'd go after Jaime, or if I'd have to go against Coach, which might strategically be good, even though for personal reasons I'd rather not. One thing's for sure, just because you keep getting further in this game, doesn't make it easier, but I'm going to do what I can to keep going.
